Information and Referrals
Our Family Support Center provides information regarding all the resources available at CENTRO as well as resources available in their local community in order to help improve the family’s quality of life.
Families with intense needs are assisted on a one-on-one level to ensure access to all resources and services available in the community for the individual. We provide both short-term navigation, and long-term navigation depending on the needs and the individual circumstances. Families are partnered with a friendly and culturally aware navigator from our qualified staff.
The Family Support Center offers a monthly calendar full of activities that offer recreation, education, information, and special events for DDS clients. Our activities and events are always presented in a way that accommodates to different scheduling needs, in an appropriate environment that provides accessibility and participation for all.
Individuals that are in the process of transition into adulthood based on the DDS standards, receive support and wrap-around services which helps families coordinate between school services, day programs, employment, and other agencies involved.
Through our program, families also have access to flexible funding available through DDS, respite services, state-wide trainings, and many other resources. Depending on the area being served, families can also have access to the services offered by other programs at CENTRO such as the Emergency Food Pantry, Children Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI), Adult Family Care (AFC), and others.
